Welcome to the 38th season of the Norman Northstars!

The organization is excited about the upcoming season as we enter the 2023-2024 schedule with an entirely new coaching group. Our staff has experience at the Professional, University, Jr. A and U18 AAA levels. The collective years involved in hockey have taught us that on-ice results start with a strong and positive culture. Our goal as a staff is to develop our players as students and athletes to set them up for success in the future.

Northstar players are expected to “Buy In” to our team philosophy and program. This is more than just hockey; our players are student-athletes. Education, discipline, and accountability are the foundation of this program and are expected to be demonstrated both on and off the ice. As a player, you will be looked upon as a role model and leader within Thompson, the surrounding Northern Communities, and the entire Norman Region.

All players are encouraged to show up in high physical standards. Tryouts are expected to be extremely competitive with a high level of intensity. This year the Northstars are offering a Conditioning Camp two weeks before tryouts for players to come to camp prepared. The Conditioning Camp will run from August 14th – 18th & 21st – 24th with limited spots available.

Norman Northstar tryouts are open and available to all U18 “AAA” aged players 15-17, (2006-2008). Please feel free to forward and pass along this information to any U18 “AAA” player interested. I look forward to seeing you at tryouts from August 25th – 27th.
